the boy at the top of the mountain

My book is from the same author as the #1 new York times bestseller the boy in the striped pajama. my book is The boy at he top of the mountain by john boyne. The book is about a boy named Pierrot becomes an Orient and he need to leave home for a better way for a better life with his aunt Beatrix. Pierrot lives in pairs and he needs to leave and him and his aunt left. They don't know what is coming up fr them. world war two is coming. when he left he did not know what danger was coming for him.
This book reminds me of wonder because at the end in pairs a girl had to run away from hear home. and my persinl connection to this book is when we learned about the holocaust.  When i wand to stay home and mu mom left and he was gone for a long time and i did not know what i was doing and my mom was out for like 4 hours. This is like when Pierrot was in the train and he was doing something knew and did not know about anything that was going on.

Scat

The book I am reading is called scat. "Scat" is a book written by Carl Hiaasen, Scat is about two friends in the state of Florida named Marta and Nick in Mrs. Starch biology class. Everyone is afraid of Mrs. Starch... except for one person: Duane (smoke) Scrod Jr. When Mrs. Starch catches Smoke picking at a pimple instead of reading about the Calvin Cycle she humiliates him by telling him to write a 500 worded essay about pimples. So Smoke gets really angry and bites and swallows the pencil she was waving at him then storms out of the Class. Then Mrs. Starch moves on and tells the children about the field trip they are taking the next day to the "Black Vine Swamp". Then, the next day everyone in all three biology classes board the bus to go to the "Black Vine Swamp", except for Smoke. Nick is very excited about going because he wants to see a black Panther and catch it on video. They are only at the Black Vine Swamp for a short amount of time because a small wildfire starts while they are having lunch. Then when they are all at the bus Mrs. Starch says she has to go back to get Libby Marshall's Asthma Inhaler: but Mrs. Starch never came back and she became a missing person but then strangely she sends a letter to the Headmaster saying she was going on Vacation for a family emergency but Dr. Dressler (the headmaster) doesn't buy it but decides to let it go because Mrs. Starch would eventually come back. Meanwhile, in Mrs. Starch biology class Nick and Marta are anxious for Mrs. Starch to come back so that Mr. Wendell Waxmo a mean wacky teacher can leave and on Mr. Waxmo's second day Smoke comes into the classroom as a very different person. So Nick and Marta decide to find out what is really going on but when they go in too deep they go into a whirl of trouble.

Nick and Marta remind me of myself because when they think something is wrong they go and investigate and find out what is wrong and they fix it. Whenever I try to solve a problem I ask a series of  questions and then I turn those into theories. Nick and Marta take the answers from the questions and develop that into a theory. They also don't give up and they keep on asking questions. I don't give up until I get answers so I just keep annoying them until I get my answers.

In Conclusion, Scat by Carl Hiaasen is about two students Nick and Marta who go and investigate when their biology teacher Mrs. Starch goes missing and Duane Scrod Jr. (Smoke) is involved somehow. Nick and Marta remind me of myself because they don't give up when they are curious and I don't either. They also solve their mysteries by annoying people until they get their answers. Finally, Nick and Marta remind me of myself because the always solve their mysteries in the end.

The Scorch Trials

I'm reading The Scorch Trials, the second book of a five book series, by James Dashner. This book is outstanding so far. It starts right away with action which will always catch any reader's attention. This book starts with Teresa and Thomas talking to each other telepathically to keep each other company during the night, trying to help take away each other's fears and night terrors from the horrible experiences they had in the maze only the day before. This was right after they had been "saved' by a facility that was against W.I.C.K.E.D- the people that put the Gladers into the maze-. They sat there in silence getting their memories back until Teresa suddenly vanishes after saying that something was wrong. Once Teresa vanished, Thomas woke up to Gladers running around and seeing bloody, zombie-like people called Cranks screaming at their windows saying, "Kill me! Kill me! Kill me!". The boys escaped the room they were locked in and behind the door was darkness filled with the stench of death. They turn the lights on only to see that the people who saved them that night were dead, hanged to what appeared to be a few hours ago. This is when sudden panic overcame him, he didn't know where Teresa was and she wasn't answering his telepathic messages.
When they found another room in the building they discovered another boy named Aris. He had the telepathic gift too. After this meeting that they had, they went back out of the room to discover all sorts of weird things, the bodies were gone, the windows were bricked up and all sorts of other things. Thomas tries once more to contact Teresa and it becomes apparent that her memory has been wiped again and she doesn't remember Thomas.

I have never been in a situation where I'm stranded in a little building not knowing who I am or where I have come from, but, I can still relate to some of the feelings that the main characters are going through. First off, I can definitely relate the friendship that Thomas and Teresa have together because I have that with my friend. We have been l super close ever since we met. I can't even imagine one day they just forgot who I was because that would mean a huge part of my life would be striped from me leaving me devastated.

I love how James Dashner continues to leave me wanting to read more because of all of the mystery around the writing of the future technology, diseases and organizations. I want to know how all of the weird things keep happening and what caused the cranks to go insane. I also love the way the author, James Dashner, was able to continue the first book the maze runner in such a smooth and seamless line. I can't wait until I finish this book to see if the next book is connected to the one before it as well.

Insurgent

I am reading Insurgent.  The author is Veronica Roth she has a series that is linked to this book it is called the divergent series that has four books including this one so far. This series has several genres such as science fiction, Utopian and dystopian fiction, romance novel, and young adult fiction. This book has won quite a few awards such as the  Goodreads Choice Awards Best Young Adult Fantasy & Science Fiction, awards and much more. This book is carried after the book divergent to understand this book u should read the book divergent, divergent is about a family, tris's family, all of the people who live in Chicago have to go to a choosing ceremony which is where they choose their future. At this ceremony you individually go up to the stage to choose your personality such as candor- the honest, abnegation- is the selfless, dauntless- the brave, erudite- the intelligent, amity- the peaceful. When Tris goes up to the stage and slits her hand and drops her blood  into the dauntless bowl she had no clue what she was getting herself into, once the ceremony was over she was officially a dauntless member. She then had to go through a number of circuits to try and stay alive.
This character reminds me of someone I know because they always like to take risks in their life even though it may  get them hurt. They also try to keep their emotion a secret while they are around people they aren't comfortable around or who they don't know and so does Tris. This character reminds me of myself because she is a risk taker and so I am sometimes. This situation reminds me of some point in my life because when I was in Punta Cana I went sky diving into the ocean and I am afraid of heights but it was so much fun and i'm glad i decided to do it.
I began to think that this book has many relations to my life. If I were Tris, I would have already went for going past the wall at this point. I noticed that when they make bad things happen and when they fix the bad things they get rewarded to be the hero. I was surprised that Tris didn't get shot when there was shots being taken when they were running. The character I most admire is Tris because she isn't afraid to stand up for her beliefs and she is fearless. I really like this book because I can relate to the things that happen in it.

Deep and Dark and Dangerous

I'm reading the book  Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. This book is about how a 13 year old girl, Ali, finds and old photograph of her mom Clair, Dulcie her aunt and some other girl. All Ali knows is that the random girls name starts with a T and her grandmother took it when Clair and Dulcie were young. Ali is determined to find out who this other girl is even though her mom denies anyone else there with her. After searching for weeks Ali finally has a chance to finding out who this mysterious girl is, but her mom is very protective and refuses to let her go to the lake with her sister and her daughter.

In this book I made a strong connection to Ali. All though i'm not going to a camp sight/lake were an incident happens, but I feel the same way she dose when her mom gets a little to protective. I under stand how she feels her mom treats her like a dog. My mom, like hers, is a bit over protective and can be a little dramatic, but on the other side she is very loving and takes care of me. Just like Ali's mom Clair. Over all my mom is a wonderful mother and I am happy she is over protective.

Before I started reading Deep and Dark and Dangerous I thought that I wouldn't like this book just because of they way it looked, but I have learned not to judge a book by its cover. All thought the cover is quite interesting I also thought the book was going to be terrible just because the books over all summary. Despite that, I still tried the book and ended up loving it. Especially on how the book is worded and both explained. Over all Deep and Dark and Dangerous is a wonderful book to read and I definitely recommend reading it.

Things That Go bump in the night

I am reading a book called Things That go bump in the night and the author is Patrick carman
the book is a season 1 and it tells story's about legends and in the book it talks about people that were legends and what they use to do .
The person that was in the woods and has a golden hook that he made cause he lost his hands and his name was "Clarence Buchanan"and he died cause he got too old and then when he was buried a person dug him up and took his hook and he melted so he can have gold.
This character reminds me of someone  I know because in the book thing that go bump in the night there is a person that steals and it reminds me of my cousins because he says that he is going to borrow it and then he never returns it back. The character reminds me of me because he goes to school. This situation reminds me of a similar situation in my own life it happened when i was at an arcade and I stole candy and took the candy to my house.

The Demigod Diaries-Text to self

I am reading,  The Demigod Diaries by Rick Riordan.  The first characters that we are introduced have special powers.  They are the children of the Greek Gods on Earth.  These children have one parent who is a Greek God, and the other being a mortal.  The kids battle monsters in the book to protect others.

I feel that the book, The Demigod Diaries connects to our world in several ways.  One of these ways is how the kids have to battle monsters that others can't see.  The kids who are not demigods in the story don't see the battles between the demigods and the monsters.  This connects to me in real life because we don't always know what everyone is going through.  People often have problems that they aren't sharing with others around them.

The book, The Demigod Diaries, and the Percy Jackson series is one of my favorite sets of stories.  I feel that some of the obstacles in the book are things that we can relate to.  I also enjoy how a portion of the book relates to the Greek Gods that we learn about in school.  To be able to learn some past history and follow along in the journey of these characters make me very happy.  I hope that the author will see how important these books are to kids and continues to write more.

Murder At Midnight

I am reading the book Murder at Midnight by Avi. The genre of this book is suspense, historical fiction, and mystery. This book is about a servant boy that is also an orphan named Fabrizoio. He is entirely dependent on the good will  of people like Sophia and her husband, Mangus the magician. Fabrizio does everything he can to impress his new master Mangus while Sophia is gone. Fabrizio was very fascinated by Mangus' magic shows, but they have to keep the magic shows secret because King Claudio banned magic in the town. If the King was to find out about the magic, Fabrizio and Mangus would be in big trouble. It was only later until Mangus and Fabrizio figured out they were being framed and Mangus was sentenced to jail. Fabrizio has to make him innocent, but how will he?

I had a connection to Fabrizio because I have tried to impress my parents. When they needed help I was able to get the job done. I am also close to  his age in the book too. Later on, when I kept helping my parents out with everything, they really appreciated me just like how Mangus appreciated Fabrizio when he helped Mangus. Fabrizio did mess up sometimes when he working for Mangus in the beginning and I did too whenever my parents needed help with something.

I recommend this book because it has a very great theme. The plot is also really easy to understand unlike other mystery books I have personally read. I really like how the character Fabrizio is very loyal and nice to his master even though he isn't well appreciated. This book made me want to read more mystery books like this. Even though I don't usually read mystery or suspenseful books, and this is by far my favorite book I've read. This book is full of surprises and makes you want to keep reading.

The Boy at the Top of the Maountain

I am reading The Boy at the Top of the Mountain by John Boyne. It is the second book in the series of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and is about a little boy named Pierrot that has to find his way through his life at seven years old without his parents. He becomes an orphan after both his parents died, then he gets a letter from his aunt that he has never met before saying that she wants to take him. When he gets there his aunt starts changing him and his whole personality.

I have a connection to this book that doesn't really have to do with me, but that has to do with a family member. My family member was put into foster care when he was younger, I know that he wasn't and orphan, but he was put into foster care to be looked after until he got adopted just like Pierrot was put into an orphanage until he got adopted. He finally got adopted and was happier than can be, but had so many questions once he got out of  the foster care program. Just like when Pierrot got out of the orphanage, but once he got out he had wondered what kind of place he was  going to and what type of people he was going to live with.

I was very confused as to where this story was going at first, but right away this book drew me in and was very interesting from the start. It made me think of the Ann Frank diaries and how they both had to do with a war that happened in history. I really like how this story gets a little interesting and makes you wonder what is going to happen next. I recommend this book to anyone that like historical fiction or to anyone that likes books related to the holocaust.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
By: Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games , by Suzanne Collins, is a story about a corrupt government that chooses a boy and a girl from each district so they can put them in a arena to fight to the death. Katniss Everdeen is a girl who's father died when she was young and had to take care of her family. She has a sister named Primrose and her mother Mrs. Everdeen cant tend to her family because her husbands death still haunts her. On the reaping day, which is when the boy and the girl is chosen, Katniss's sister Primrose was chosen. But Katniss couldn't let her go to the hunger games so she volunteered for her instead. The boy who was chosen was Peeta Mellark, he was the son of a local baker in district 12.

Katniss reminds me of a solider because she will always take care and protect anyone even of she doesn't know them. She acts courageous like a solider and doesn't care what the consequence is of her actions is. She is tough like a solider and is a natural born leader. She also reminds of a rebel because she talks and disagrees with her own government.

If I were Katniss at this point, I would train my hardest to try to win because that is the only chance that I'm going to see my family again. I would also try to unite a team during the games instead of going by myself. I was also confused why Katniss's Dad died. I thought there was supposed to be a warning that the mine might explode or be unstable.

Where the Red Fern Grows

My mom's favorite book is Where the Red Fern Grows . She has always been talking about it and she can't stop. When I was coming up with a book to blog about, I looked at her "special" book shelf full of all her special and favorite books she reads. She was helping me pick out a book, so when I was over there trying to find one she asked " Is Where the Red Fern Grows over there?" I said yes, so she said that it would be a good book for me to read and blog about.  My book is Where the Red Fern Grows by: Wilson Rawls. This is a story about a little boy named Billy Coleman who is a very poor boy and doesn't have any money to get what he has always wanted, hound dogs. He has always wanted a good hunting hound to hunt with during hunting season. One day he finds a magazine that has an ad that says " Hounds for sale" in Kentucky. He works for two years to get the 50 dollars he needs to buy them. He told his Grandpa about it, so his Grandpa placed the order for him, but Billy payed for them. The night before he makes his trip was difficult for Billy because he wanted his dogs right away, so he goes over night without telling his family about it. He never even told his family about getting the dogs.He makes the trip to town all by himself to get the hounds and returns home with his beautiful hound dogs and his family happy to see him. Billy trains his pets to hunt successfully, then takes them out to hunt. They are very successful and were able to catch many coon (raccoons) in the forest.

Billy reminds me of someone I know because he is brave enough to travel all by himself to get two little hounds. He worked so hard to get the money and achieve his goal of getting two hunting hounds. Billy also reminds me of someone I know because my Grandpa did the same thing, but for a different reason. He traveled a whole day to Mexico just to see his family for Christmas and that was his goal. He traveled a whole day just to spend time with his family on Christmas day. This character reminds me of me because every time I travel somewhere, I always set a goal to find something interesting and new. This situation reminds me of a similar situation in my own life. It happens whenever we go to Big Bear Lake, California. Whenever we travel there, I always try to explore part of the Colorado River. Out from my window in my car, I can see how the water moves and how beautiful it looks in the distance.

I love the way Billy conquers any task at hand and how brave he is to travel so far to accomplish his goal and get his dogs. I did feel sad when the Coleman's had to turn down Billy's wish of getting two hound dogs just because they didn't have enough money. I love the way the author expresses so much emotion during the book. I cried the first chapter because it was full of different feelings and emotions. I definitely wish Billy's family was not poor and they did have enough money to get a better house than the one they are living in right now. I was so surprised to know that Billy wanted hunting hounds. I never knew he wanted to hunt in the first place. I thought he wanted a toy or a new bed or anything other than a dog. I was very surprised when he traveled so far just to get two hound pups that he worked so hard for. I definitely recommend reading Where the Red Fern Grows because you can learn so much from one little book of inspiration that tells you "If you can dream it, you can believe it."

Scorch Trials

I'm reading The Scorch Trials It's a part two of the Maze Runner Series. It's Where the gladers from the maze are facing challenges with the new zombie like people called the cranks. The cranks  are attacking the gladers inside a facility where people were taking care of them. But then they realize that the people that were taking care of them are WICKED ( The people that put them in the maze.) So they Ran away from the facility trying to find teresa so she can be safe with them. But while trying to find teresa they find a kid named Aris, Aris has telepathic powers like thomas. And Aris has been in the maze as well. But he was with all girls intead of all boys and one girl. After Aris and the rest of the gladers talk they relize tht during the night they have been tattooed WICKED and they all said "Property Of Wicked" And on them they had subject A or B and Thomas was in the A group. But on thomas It said "To be killed by B group"
The character Thomas reminds me of my friend Isaiah Jimenez because he perservers and when we were doing airsoft battles he was the one to run into the battle. The character Minho reminds me of me because he is impatient with everyone else, and i am impaitent with people if they arnt giving me answers and when i was airsofting I shot somone that we were holding hostage because he wouldnt tell me where the flag was.The Situation where Thomas was hoping teresa was in the bathroom but it was actually a kid names Aris. That reminds me of when i was at a grocery store and I thought one of my friends was there so i ran up so happy and i tapped on his shoulder and it was someone completely different and i was so embarased.
When I was reading I began to think that when the place got cleaned up that teresa was the one that cleaned them up. But actually it was WICKED testing their abilities to fend for themself. They were brought food by this man in a white suit reading a book. The food was stacked in a pile ready for the gladers to eat. The man explaines to them that they are the people saving humanity. They have to complete the trials to get a cure for a deasese called the flare. The flair turnes them into a monster that loses sense in compassion and empathy, it makes everyone go mentally insane. All in all I am still reading this book but I like it a lot and i recommend it to everyone that likes si-fi.

A series of unfortunate events

The book i'm reading is A series of unfortunate events. The author of this book is lemony snicked. My story is about Baudelaire orphans that are traveling along this most displeasing road. After the fire, the siblings were sent to live with a distant relative named Count Olaf.A terrible greedy man,the parents had left behind an enormous fortune. He was caught just in time, but he escaped and vowed to get a hold of the Baudelaire fortune sometime in the future. The grim river and the horseradish factory were only the first of the sequence. They had no way of knowing,of course. The three orphans parents died in a fire.                                                                                                                                                                                                This character reminds me of somebody I know because my 10th passed away
This character reminds me of me because this book has details.

This situation reminds me of a similar situation because Its the best book

This scene reminds me of a similar scene because there's more books about it

This character looks like uncle Monty

The Baudelaire orphans parents died in a fire.

I felt sad when the orphans parents died because my t 10th cousin passed away

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard-The Sword of Summer

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, by Rick Riordan, is a story about a boy who just turns 16. What he doesn't know is that his life is in danger. Surt, a fire giant, and two dark wolves are after him. The only way to protect himself is to renew the once known Sword of Summer. He dies in battle and is taken to Valhalla, where is to live forever. Later on, he is told he is the son of Frey. Now he must leave Valhalla to find the Sword of Summer once again in order to stop the unbinding of Fenris Wolf and prevent Doomsday for as long as he can. Will he succeed or will the world come to an end?

Magnus reminds me of my brother Jacob. Both work hard and sometimes have a hard time understanding what is going on. Also, Jacob is very social and loves to meet family he has not seen in a while. Magnus is also social but does not always like to meet family he hasn't seen for a while. When Magnus saw his uncle Randolph he wanted to strangle him but Jacob wants to spend all day playing with them.

I dislike Magnus right now because he usually doesn't know what is going on and is acting like a kid even thought he is 16. I was also surprised how the final battle ended with Surt being sucked back to Muspellhiem. I recommend reading this book and the series.

Star Gazer

I am reading the book Star Gazer Written by Patrick Carmen. This is a adventure book that many characters put their life after others. Also at first they are stuck on the sea. Their is a under the sea monster that they are  trying to figure out what it is and what it wants. They try to fight the monsters but the monster is to powerful for some of the humans. They also get across the see to try to find different nonhuman creatures. After a tragic attack many people get stuck in a boat with no food or water because of the monster. They have no choice but to try to fight to get off of the boat and on to safety.
Alexis reminds me of me because I never give up and always wants to go on a adventure. I am always ready to leave and do any thing any one gives me or wants me to do.The setting reminds me when I was on a Disney cruise and their was a storm and we got stuck on the boat in the middle of the water like Alexis did when the monster tried to defeat her. I can relate to many things in this book. This book reminds me of the book Percy Jackson The Lighting Thief,  because in both books they all have monsters that they don't know what they are so they try to fight them. Jackson in the book/movie Percy Jackson And The Lighting Thief and Alexis act the same because they are not scared to do anything and they will put their life up for their friends. The problem in the story is that their is a monster that is trying to kill them from getting them across the sea to save a person that's unknown until I get closer into the book I am reading. Getting stuck in the middle of the sea happens and it happens in this book so it is similar.
I can't believe that I liked this book cause at first i didn't think I would have liked this book only four chapters in. I recommend this book to any one, it will take some reading cause its not that good at first but after the first chapter you should like it. I really like this book and you guys should read cause i think you guys would to. I  support this book and think any one who likes action books should read this book. Once I finish the book I  would want to read it again because how good the book is.

Pursued

I am reading the book Pursued by Jerry B. Jenkins & Tim Lahaye. This has book has a series, it has eleven books, I am reading the second book. This story is has lots of mystery and action and religion , if you like mystery and action this is the book for you. There are many characters the main characters are Judd and Vicki. Judd and Vicki don't reveal that they like each other but I made an inference that they do. In the beginning of the chapters Vicki ran away. She also almost got kidnapped, but a godly man saved her and drove her to the border line of Michigan. This so called "family" they are really not most of their parents died or abandoned them so they all live together.  In this book their family gets very close Jesus and the Bible, one of them opened up their own church. The book is mostly about Jesus and Christianity.
I have never been almost kidnapped or opened up a church or lost all my parents and live with just friends. But I am a believe in Christianity, and i have and always will go to church. I am also a big believer in Jesus and me and my family read the bible together sometimes. This also reminds me of one of the books I've read called The heart of Memory. It has a little mystery, action, and religion. I can also make a connection with the world because the world because a lot of people on the news are kids going missing or celebrities having a family member pass.
I like the way the author includes many genres and writes about something that i feel deeply about and i really like the school scene when Judd was a smart Alec to the teacher.

eragon

The book i am reading is called eragon. It contains a teen named eragon that is found hunting in the woods for deer i really liked this part of the story because reminds me of my friends hat have went hunting. He misses the deer and is worried for his family. Eragon is then walking to a butcher shop when he stumbles upon a colorful rock that disappears.
Eragon  took off running after the rock to the butcher shop. When he walks in he meets a character named sloan that has scars and knives. Sloan asks eragon if he had brought the deer and eragon says no that he didnt bring the deer. sloan overreacts witch reminds me of my dad.a character named ralph pays off eragons meat and leaves.eragon thanks ralph and also leaves to his home before getting stopped by his dad.

Sting

The book i'm reading called sting written by the beast selling author of loot is an amazing story so far. The beginning of this amazing story starts in France where March and his sister Jules are stealing a boat load of diamonds. But as the thieves are on their heist another group of thieves is stealing too and March and Jules have to get away. While escaping they lose everything except for a beautiful diamond unlike the others they feel defeated. But March soon discovers that there are two more like this and when combined are worth millions. So they take of not knowing that others want them too who will get them first you'll have to read the book.

The character march reminds me of myself because of his little insecurities that show up every now and then. I also noticed how he has a hot temper also like me but means well.  March in this book also  has problems with his friends which might destroy the team .The places they go remind me of the places I've been to places like Washington , Texas , and Georgia and all are amazing. The characters in this book a very stealthy waiting in the shadows to get their loot. There is little pieces of me all over this book and I am only half way through it.

I observed the way that March just getting to know his sister Jules seems like they've known each other longer and that they make a fantastic team. I also noticed how other role play characters can change the map of a story like the FBI agent. As our thieves go on in the story they are trying to get 2 more pieces to add to their diamond that is worth millions . But they are not the only ones after the Jewels .Who will get them first?
You have to read this story to find out.

The False Prince

The False Prince is an easy to understand, well-rounded, book about three orphans and a man named Connor. Connor is a wealthy servant of the king, which has died suddenly. These three orphans named, Sage, Roden, and Tobias were hand picked by Connor to train to become prince. How it works? Simple. The kings son has been missing but not found dead. Connor was there when he died but no-one except Connor and the orphans know that. After two weeks Connor will kill two of the orphans and the chosen one will pretend to become prince that has suddenly "been found". Because the king has died that means that the orphan-prince is next of kin so he will become king. So...  eventually the chosen orphan will become king and save Carthya. The False Prince is a good book that I would recommend... but you will have to read it to find out, who will become prince? Will they succeed, or will someone find out?

The character Sage reminds me of me, often in the book he will do and choose similar choices that I had thought I would do. He also has some common personalities that I have, such as being clever, mischievous, and cunning. Like when, (WARNING, spoiler) Sage decides to trick Tobias and knock him out. The character Connor reminds me of my brother when he often takes charge.

The Selection Text to Self Blog 1

The book I read is called The Selection by Keira Cass. This is the first book in the five-book series. It is a book about a teenage girl named America Singer who enters a "competition" where the winner will get to marry the prince. At first, America had no interest whatsoever in becoming the princess. Eventually, America's friends and family are able to coax her into filling out the forms and entering her name into The Selection to marry the prince. While she spends more and more time at the palace, she suddenly has a change of heart. America is in it to win it, and she will do whatever it takes to win the crown. She goes through a lot of struggles along the way, including being extremely homesick, stage fright, and rebels attacking the palace.

This book reminds me of the book Cinder, because the main character in both of the books is very special to the plot line. America is the one who the prince always had his eye on, and she was an extremely important character. In Cinder, she is a cyborg-human, and she has special talents that no one else has. This situation reminds me of a time in my life when I did not want to do something at first. After my parents and siblings persuaded me to do it, it turned out to be a great experience.

I really love this book, and it is my favorite book series of all time. I mostly loved how while there was some foreshadowing, the author also left you with some cliff hangers. It may seem very predictable, but as you keep reading, there are many amazing twists and turns. I would definitely recommend this book, especially to someone who likes science-fiction. It was such a great book for me because it really showed emotion and it felt like I could really connect to the main character. Often throughout the book, I was very surprised by the change of events. The setting is very important to the plot of this book because it shows how America adjusts to life in the palace.

the Thief and the Beanstalk

I am sure you have all heard of Jack and the Beanstalk but do you know what happened after? The book is called the Thief and the Beanstalk by P. W Catanese. This book is so far about this thief called finch and a group of bandits, they hear the stories and the stories tell them where jack lives who is from Jack and the Beanstalk. The plan is to get into the house to steal all of Jack gold but they need a small person who can scale the walls. This is when a poor homeless kid named nick comes in. Nick was a kid who lived on the streets most of his life and would do anything for a hot meal. Finch finds him scavenging for food so he takes him in to test his skills in trade for a hot meal and a spot in the gang.
The main character who is Nick reminds me of Wade because he is a bony but strong kid and a lot of bravery. I can also connect with him because in the book we are pretty close to the same age and think a lot the same and have the same ideas. A scene in the book reminds me of my self when he is in the walls of Jacks fortress he get caught by Jack and thinks it is the end of the world and when I get caught I also believe that it is the end of the world for me. When I was little I got into a big pickle and luckily my parents were super sweet about it just like the book.
One of the major things that keeps me interred is all of the suspense in every page that makes me want to keep reading. When I started to read this book I began to think it was going to be a bad choice but after the first 40 pages this book got interesting fast. I observed that this book has changed my interests for reading. One part hat made me feel sad is when his talking about how he is talking     about his parents and can't even remember his own parents. I highly recommend his book and this is personally one of my most favorite reads.

Sample - Text to Self Blog 1

I am reading the  book  Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This book is part 1 in a series of books about a small town boy who falls for the “new girl” in town. Only this isn’t any regular girl. She is a “castor” or a witch, she has special powers. When she moves into town they realize they have a strong connection. The problem is she is different from everyone else. When she turns 16 fate decides whether she will be a dark or evil castor or a light castor. The closer it gets to her 16th birthday the crazier both of their lives get.
I had a strong connection to Lena this story. No, I am not a castor with magical powers or anything but she is different. Now, because she is different she isn’t treated very nice by her peers at school. When I was in middle school I had peers that weren’t so nice to me. They would tease me because I didn’t have the brand name clothes or because I wore glasses. They made it so I didn’t want to go to school just like Lena hated going to school because the cheerleaders would make her life miserable.
At first I didn’t think I would really get into this book because it is “super natural”. I love how they brought pieces of civil war history and the history or family into the story.  I was surprised by the ending because it Ethan doesn’t realize that Lena saved his life.  But because she saved Ethan’s life someone else important to her died. I can definitely see why the series needs to continue.  I need some resolution.
